The sides of me
Inspired by @becsgentry 😍 and in line with our motto over at @twoyorkshirebirds 🤹“runners don’t just run”. Humans are complex, multi-faceted beings. Often, we are contradictions of ourselves. So here's me...
I am an academic, but I hate conformity.
I am constantly connected, but I relish solitude.
I am disciplined, but I need freedom.
I am a scientist, but I believe in the universe.
I spend a lot of time moving my body, but a lot of time in my own head.
I like planning, but I hate commitment.
I have multiple degrees, but I don’t want to use any.
I like to run, but I dislike running chat.
I feel a lot in myself, but often more for others.
I don’t compete against others, but I do compete against myself.
I love the smell of my “worked-out body”, but I cherish my freshly washed curls.
I innately seek personal achievements, but I don’t want these to be acknowledged.
I am into fashion, but I like to create my own.
I love organic wine, balsamic vinegar and Popchips, but I also love apples, chewing gum and Vimto (not all at the same time).
I talk to others nicely, but I am often not kind to myself.
My mind is busy, but I seek simplicity.
So, who are you?
